FBV Passes API RP591 Tests

FBV, Inc. has recently taken part in testing and evaluating one trunnion ball valve, 10”, Class 600, RF Flange, A105 body material according to API RP591/ API 608. The valve underwent dimensional inspection, positive material identification, hardness testing, visual inspection, mechanical testing, chemical analysis and metallurgical examination including yield, tensile, elongation and reduction of area examination were in the testing sequence. An addition stem twist test has been carried out to determine the first point of failure according to API RP591 Process Valve Qualification Procedure.
